Loudoun County VA enslaved families and their owners

(continued from previous page "Enslavement and Freedom" - click BACK to return to first page)

The information on the following pages is being updated weekly.  As I search through slave birth records, which identify the owner, mother and child - usually with no surname, and date of birth, I then cross check that information with the 1880 census data from the Family Search (LDS CDs) for Loudoun county which allows me to search by first name.  Potential matches if married are cross checked with marriage and death data.

The information here is only a guide to help those searching for family members during the slave period - my conclusions have not been verified by looking at actual records and should only serve as pointers. Data here was collected from a variety of secondary sources - see previous page.
