Opening procession with dancer representing Native Americans

In the Lukumi Yoruba tradition the word for ancestor

is "Egun".  We give praise to the ancestors

for making it possible for us to be here.

We ask for the blessing of our ancestors

in all that we do.

We sing to the ancestors.

We make  shrines for the ancestors.
